The SOVRN Approach to Youth Development

At SOVRN Performance Lab, we take a long-term view of youth training. Our mission is not just to improve strength and speed, it’s to help young athletes become resilient, self-aware, and physically prepared for whatever path they choose.

Whether aiming for varsity, collegiate, or simply a lifelong love of movement, our programs build a durable foundation rooted in science, mentorship, and individualization.

Unlike generic youth programs, our programs utilize a systems-based model. Every athlete is treated as a unique system, where training is tailored to their movement mechanics, maturity, environment, and personal goals. Using force plate analysis, neuromuscular testing, and movement profiling, we create plans that evolve as they do.

We don't just train athletes. We mentor future leaders, resilient movers, and high-performing humans.

Common Questions

Who is Youth Training For?

Our youth development program is designed for middle school, high school, and college athletes who want to improve strength, speed, mobility, and overall athletic ability in a structured, long-term format. We welcome both competitive athletes and those simply looking to build a solid foundation.

Can my child still train during their sport season?

Yes. We adjust training intensity and volume based on sport participation to ensure proper recovery and performance. In-season training focuses more on movement quality, injury prevention, and maintenance.

What does the 1-on-1 profiling assessment include?

The assessment includes movement screening, neuromuscular testing (using force plates), and a review of key performance markers. It helps us understand how your athlete moves and builds a customized plan based on their specific needs.

Is this program safe for younger athletes going through growth spurts?

Yes. Our coaches specialize in youth development and adapt programs based on biological age and growth phase. Our goal is to build strength and coordination without overloading the body during key growth windows.
