Strength and Conditioning Specialist
SOVRN Performance Lab is seeking a Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our growing team. We are a high-performance facility that integrates advanced sports science, testing, and evidence-based training to help athletes and clients achieve their highest potential.
What You’ll Do
- Design and deliver strength, speed, and conditioning programs based on athlete profiling and performance goals.
- Lead semi-private, group and 1-on-1 training sessions with an emphasis on safe, effective coaching.
- Conduct performance testing and use data (force plates, VO2max, lactate threshold) to guide programming.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, dietitians, and other staff to provide holistic athlete care.
- Support athlete education in recovery, mobility, and long-term development.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 2–3 years of coaching experience.
- NSCA-CSCS required.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, biomechanics, and applied sport science.
- Passion for coaching and developing athletes/clients at all levels.

Requirements
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field.
- 1-2 years of coaching experience in strength and conditioning or sport performance.
- Current NSCA-CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist).
- Strong knowledge of physiology, biomechanics, and evidence-based training principles.
- Demonstrated ability to coach groups and individuals effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field.
- Experience working with youth, collegiate, or professional athletes.
- Familiarity with athlete monitoring tools (force plates, metabolic testing, GPS/velocity tracking).
