Elizabeth McNear is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and a Board-Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD). Originally from Colorado, she received her undergraduate degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition at Colorado State University and completed her graduate degree in Nutrition and Physical Performance at Saint Louis University. She started her career in Division I college athletics working at Ole Miss University, the University of Florida, the University of California Berkeley, and Colorado State University. She has provided performance nutrition guidance to athletes from over 30 different sports and various backgrounds. After her time in collegiate athletics, she started a private practice where she focuses on helping individuals of all age groups and athletic abilities. This ranges from high schoolers, prepping for college, endurance athletes preparing for their next race, individuals entering menopause and other hormonal changes in life, and professional athletes. In addition to running her private practice, she is currently the team dietitian for the Athletics MLB team.
What sets Elizabeth apart from other Registered Dietitians is her real-life approach to nutrition. Work with Elizabeth isn’t about meal planning and macro counting or expecting dietary perfection. She focuses on providing education and meeting you where you are in life to set you up for success moving forward. She has vast experience providing nutrition recommendations for nutrition for injury prevention and recovery, improving metabolic efficiency, weight loss and body composition changes, supplement use and using nutrition to improve health parameters within a busy lifestyle.
Elizabeth has honed skills in translating scientific nutrition principles in a manner that is interactive, easy to understand, and practical in application. She uses a non-diet, intuitive eating, hands on approach to nutrition coaching. Her methods focus on developing life-long eating habits and she believes in a life of moderation and enjoying food.
